The Salamander is ideal for those requiring a lightweight fast rowboat. A simple design allows the boat to be constructed easily and quickly. The hull design is similar to that of the Expedition model, offering the same stability, tracking and performance.
The open concept allows the boat to be rowed as a single, double or single with a passenger. 75 kg of cargo can be comfortably stowed forward for extended trips. This featherweight craft is ideal for those wishing to tow their boat by bicycle. The disassembled trailer and bicycle can easily be stowed forward of the rower allowing for practical amphibious transportation.
Without decks this model is not as seaworthy as the Expedition. Its level of seaworthiness is similar to that of a canoe, and is suitable for sheltered waters and paralleling shorelines.
